Get started

Your hardware.
Your first stream.

Choose the experience and the device first. Then follow the setup guide for the streaming component that connects them.

Before you start

Check the whole path.

01

The host

Check the application’s graphics requirements, supported operating system and encoder support in the chosen streaming project.

02

The network

Use a wired host where possible. For venue VR, plan suitable 6 GHz coverage and sustained capacity. Test latency with the actual devices.

03

The content

Use applications and experiences you have permission to run. Open source streaming software does not include rights to third-party content.

When you want more

Build a venue
around the stream.

Public components give you a starting point. A managed Hydra deployment adds a separate conversation about enrolment, operations, content and support.

Want to contribute network capacity as a Hydramancer? That also needs a network agreement. A standalone stream does not enrol your machine automatically.
